Brand History

Texas, 1918 saw the creation of the ‘US Overall Company’ by C.N. Williamson and E.E. ‘Colonel” Dickie. In 1922 C. Don Williamson joined his father and Cousin and bought the company renaming it the now legendary Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company; today more commonly known as Dickies.

Building their business around the Original poly cotton workpant, ‘the 874’, Dickies became a major supplier of uniforms for the nations armed forces in the World War 2. and has since become one of the worlds leading work wear apparel companies.

Adopted by skaters in the 1970’s the 874 work pant is the Original flat fronted work chino and has now achieved iconic status from the construction sites of the US to the streets of London.
