Founded in the early 1960's by German born, Dr Claus Martens and the quality shoe makers the Griggs family the famous Dr Martens Air Wair shoe was initially adopted by factory workers, postmen and union workers by the thousand but soon spread to outcasts and rebels of fringe society.
