Brand History

After being brought up on the beaches of California, Shawn Stussy began shaping surf boards adding his now infamous signature to them with the help of a marker pen. Being such a perfectionist he would only make one board a day whilst others cashed in making five or six boards in the same time. To supplement his income Stussy started printing up tee shirts adorned with his signature. This was the start of the 1980's and the beginning of the now legendary street wear brand.

The boom of hip hop in the 1980's saw Stussy develop his clothing line further and then teamed up with James Jebbiah of Union and Supreme fame, to open it's first flagship store and creating the Stussy World Tribe.

More than 25 years later Stussy is still among the worlds premium street wear brands and The Original Store is proud to be stocking Stussy t-shirts and clothing from the Original street wear brand!
