Supplying the Authentic

The coolest lighter a man can own, the Zippo lighter was created in the early 1930s by George Blaisdell whilst at the Bradford Country Club, Pennsylvania. After watching his friend awkwardly using an Austrian-made lighter which worked well, but was impractical and ugly, Blaisdell fabricated a rectangular case and attached the top of the lighter to the case with a hinge, it retained the chimney design which protected the flame under adverse conditions. The first Zippo lighter was born.
When America entered the Second World War, Zippo dedicated all manufacturing to the U.S. military, which led to the production of the steel-case Zippo with black “crackle” finish. Millions of American military personnel carried the lighter into battle due to its robust qualities and the Zippo soon gained its iconic status.
The Zippo lighter is still backed by its famous lifetime guarantee, and in almost 75 years, no one has ever spent a cent on the mechanical repair of a Zippo lighter regardless of the lighter’s age or condition
